I’m a cocoNUT. My liquid core is filled with passion for what I do; which is drawing.
My fleshy, fatty meat is the way I produce, explain, act and carry myself. In short; my nutrient meat is thick and delicious in some aspects of life… and in other cases it might be thin and in need of learning and growing. My hairy coconut shell is all the packaging that holds all the gooey goodness in.
By the way I’m Coco, and I’d very much like to apply for the CGA program.
So, please pull up a chair and let me show you the rosey world that is Coco.
My vision is to make people happy and to support and make a difference for arctic wildlife and dogs, before I perish.I see myself making that difference through my work and drawings. Doing something good with the skill set I possess; is of major importance to me.I know that in order to reach this vision I need a place to grow and receive guidance.
My flaws are definitely not few and my techniques need polishing. When I draw, I don’t necessarily have an idea in mind. I don’t feel like I have a specific style; I go through phases of art styles.
With your help and guidance I hope to achieve the tools needed to stand out of the crowd and to spurt into an artist; who can perform and complete the vision, which my heart is bleeding for.
Like so many others I’ve grown up with cartoons and animations; which have had a huge impact on the choice of career I’d like to chase and achieve.
Weirdly enough, I often find myself crying while watching fx. Disney movies. Not because they are sad, but because they are moving; and touch my heart with warmth and overwhelming feelings. I want to create equally as fantastic pieces of art, so people will experience the same spectrum of feelings. Whether it be through designing characters, backgrounds or concept art.
I mostly do sketches by hand and redraw in photoshop. So all the imperfections are tweaked and put into place. Sometimes my sketches are very vague and the end result becomes totally different from my first idea.
Often I scroll through all the instagram artist I enjoy and admire. To mention a few I admire all the works of Brittney Lee, Lois Van Baarle (loish), Max Grecke, Sibylline Meynet, Brett Bean and Charlie Bowater. They all have so much to offer. I adore the way they express themselves in their own unique way.
As the persistent and loving person I am; I have applied for the CGA program twice before. This year is the 3rd time in a row. Even before I finished college I tried applying for the CA program. I have grown since then and have become more aware of which path I wish to tread.
That’s all folks I hope you won’t forget I’m just up your alley.
